Open House #1

We had an opportunity to connect with members of the community for the first public Open House at Carmine Stefano Community Centre on June 4th, 2019. Hosted by the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry & Recreation and Children’s Services Divisions, the session was well attended and included opening remarks from local City Councillor, Anthony Perruzza, Senior Project Coordinator, Cheryl Aleong-Spry, and architectural Principal-in-Charge, Ted Watson. City staff and consultants, including MJMA and Bortolotto Architecture + Interior Design, provided project information and answered community member questions, receiving valuable input for the new community centre project.

We are currently consolidating feedback from all of the community engagement sessions and will be providing a summary report of our findings in Open House #2 (Digital Open House). For more information on what was presented, see the .PDF document attached.

Open House #2 is planned for Fall 2019, and we will be hosting ‘Pop-up’ sessions throughout the summer for additional input opportunities.
